| Remembrance Sunday is a big event in Southport with several thousand people in attendance and is supported and organized by Sefton Borough Council and is attended by many dignatories including the Lord Mayor and includes Guards of Honour, a military band and a March Past and after a Service of Remembrance over 50 Wreaths are laid including one from The Mark Masons of West Lancashire. W. Bro Mark Barton PProvGReg did the honours this year being called up by rote, prearranged by the organisers. Members of the public were then invited to lay wreaths at the very impressive Cenotaph. |
